Other Requirements
- Citizenship: U.S. citizens or qualified immigrants
- Residency: Must live in AnyState
- Work Requirements: Able-bodied adults 18-49 without dependents must work or participate in training at least 20 hours per week
- Resources: Most households must have $2,750 or less in countable resources ($4,250 if elderly/disabled member)
- Social Security Number: Required for all household members
Automatic Eligibility
If you receive TANF, SSI, or certain other benefits, you may be automatically eligible for SNAP.
How to Use Your Benefits
EBT Card
Your SNAP benefits are loaded onto an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card each month. The card works like a debit card.
How to Use:
- Swipe your EBT card at checkout
- Enter your PIN number
- Select "EBT" or "Food Stamps"
- Your purchase amount is deducted from your balance
Keep your PIN safe! Never share your PIN with anyone. If your card is lost or stolen, report it immediately.

Get Decision
Receive a decision within 30 days (7 days if you qualify for expedited service).
